This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices you have. By installing or using the App, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Purpose of the App
Dnyanstroat is the official paperless directory for Rotary District 3030. It is designed to hold district level information and facilitate year round communication among members while supporting our commitment to environmental stewardship.

2. Information We Collect
- Member Directory Data: Name, club, designation, phone number, email address, postal address. Provided by district/club secretaries or by members themselves.
- Organisational Information: District goals, event schedules, notices, and documentation. Supplied by district officers.
- App Usage Data: Login time, pages viewed, basic device metadata (model, OS version). Collected automatically when you use the App.
We do not collect financial information, precise GPS location, or biometric data.

3. Legal Basis for Processing
- Rotary Legitimate Interest: Maintaining an accurate directory to enable official Rotary activity.
- Consent: You may withdraw or update discretionary details (e.g., personal phone number) at any time via your club secretary or the support email below.
- Compliance with Law: Where record keeping is required under Indian law.

4. How We Use the Information
- Display member contact details to other authorised Rotarians for club and district communications.
- Circulate district announcements and updates so information remains current throughout the year.
- Improve reliability and security of the App by analysing aggregated, anonymised usage trends.
We will never sell or rent your personal data.

5. Sharing and Disclosure
- District & Club Officers: Administration of Rotary business (access controlled by role based credentials).
- Service Providers: Secure hosting, app maintenance (bound by confidentiality and data protection clauses).
- Legal Authorities: Only if required by applicable law (disclosure limited to the specific request).

6. Data Security
We deploy industry standard measures such as encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), secure authentication, and regular server audits. While no system is perfectly secure, we continuously review and strengthen our safeguards.

7. Data Retention
Directory data is retained for the Rotary year in which it is relevant and archived for statutory or historical purposes thereafter. Usage logs are retained for up to 12 months, then anonymised or deleted.

8. Your Rights
- Access & Correction: Review or update your directory entry through your club secretary or district data officer.
- Erasure: Request removal of optional personal details not essential to Rotary operations.
- Objection: Object to specific processing that relies on legitimate interest.

9. Children’s Privacy
The App is intended for adult Rotarians and officers. We do not knowingly collect data from individuals under 18. If you believe a minor’s information is present, please notify us for prompt removal.

10. International Transfers
All servers are currently located in India. Should hosting move outside India in the future, equivalent protection levels consistent with Indian law (and, where relevant, GDPR) will be ensured.

11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect legal, technical, or operational changes. The “Last updated” date will indicate the latest revision. Continued use of the App after changes signifies acceptance.
